MDI Girls Beat Ellsworth 51-46 in Final Regular Season Game [STATS]

The MDI Girls Basketball Team beat Ellsworth 51-46 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth in the the final regular season game for both teams. on Tuesday, February 3rd.

MDI led 17-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter as Lilli Hanf had 6 points and Avery Norwood had 5 points while Kaylee Bagley had 6 points for the Eagles.

Ellsworth outscored MDI 10-5 in the 2nd Quarter to tie the game at 22-22 at the Half. Bagley had 4 points for Ellsworth while Sydney Mason had a 3-pointer.

Ellsworth led 37-36 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Kaylee Bagley had 9 points for Ellsworth while Elizabeth Boles sank a pair of 3-pointers for 6 points. Hanf had 8 points for MDI.

MDI outscored Ellsworth 15-9 in the 4th Quarter. Lily Collings had 7 points, hitting a crucial pair of free throws in the final seconds. Lily Norwood hit a huge 3-pointer for MDI. Bagley had 5 more points for Ellsworth.

MDI was led by Lilli Hanf with 17 points. Avery Norwod had 12 points with a 3-pointers. Lily Collins had 11 points, going 4-6 from the free throw line. The Trojans were 10-16 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth was led by Kaylee Bagley with 24 points. Elizabeth Boles had 13 points with 2 3-pointers. Sydney Mason had a 3-pointer. The Eagles were 5-9 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 12-6 while Ellsworth is 11-17. Both teams will be playing in the Class B North Tournament at the Cross Center. Both teams are waiting for the final games to be played on Thursday, February 5th for the seedings to be finalized.
