MDI Drama Team Wins Regional Drama Festival Ellsworth 2nd

Congratulations to the MDI and Ellsworth Drama Teams who finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the Class A One-Act Drama Festival held at MDI High School on Friday and Saturday, March 7-8.

Deer Isle Stonington won in Class B.

Competing in the Regional were were One-Act Teams from Deer Isle-Stonington, Belfast, MDI, Hampden Academy, Orono, Hermon, Ellsworth, Bucksport and Shead High Schools.

On Saturday night the 2025 Downeast Regional Tech Olympics were held with Deer Isle-Stonington taking home the Golden Wrench, besting MDI High School by 2 seconds. MDI took home the silver screwdriver. Taking part were teams from Deer Isle-Stonington, MDI, Shead and Hampden Academy.

The Class A State Finals will take place at Camden Hills while the Class B State Finals will take place at Stearns
