MDI Boys Win Home Opener Beat John Bapst 54-36

The MDI Boys Basketball Team won their home opener on Wednesday, December 11th, beating the John Bapst Crusaders 54-36 to even their record at 1-1.

MDI led 9-7 at the end of the 1st Quarter, 21-13 at the end of the 1st Half, and 39-22 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Jack DaCorte with a game high 16 points. Porter Isaacs had 10 points. Ethan Merchant, Brady Renault and Charlie Parker each had 1 3-pointer, while DaCorte had 2 3-s. The Trojans were 7-15 from the free throw line.

John Bapst was led by Rhett McDonald with 11 points while Sam Ellis had 9 points. Ellis had the Crusader's lone 3-pointer. John Bapst was 11-17 from the free throw line.

MDI, now 1-1 will play at Foxcroft Academy on Saturday, December 14th at 7 p.m. in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on our free downloadable APP, on any Alexa enabled device and on WDEA Internet Radio
