Katsiaficas Gymnasium at Ellsworth High School is the place to be on Wednesday night, February 5th as the Ellsworth Boys host MDI in the final regular season game for both teams. Tip-off is at 7 p.m.

The game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device beginning with the pregame at 6:40ish.

Ellsworth beat MDI 63-58 in Bar Harbor on January 3rd.

It will be the final regular season game for Ellsworth Seniors Morgan Blair, Brayden King, Hollis Grindal, Hunter Boles, Kyle Kenny, Conor MacDonald and Zach Bray.

Ellsworth begins the day with a record of 15-2 and in 2nd place in the Class B Northern Maine Heal Point Standings. Regardless of the outcome of tonight's game, Ellsworth will go into the High School Basketball Tournament with a bye in the prelim round and will play the winner of the #7-#10 prelim game at the Cross Insurance Center on Friday, February 14th at 8:30 p.m.

MDI enters the day with a record of 10-7, and in 4th place in the Class B Northern Maine Heal Point Standings. There is a logjam between 4th and 7th places. The Top 4 Teams in Class B North have a bye. A win by MDI and they are assured of finishing in the Top 4.
