MDI Boys Outlast Caribou 56-49 [BOX SCORE/RECAP/STATS]

The MDI Boys Basketball Team outlasted Caribou in Caribou on Wednesday, December 27th, outscoring the Vikings 24-14 in the 4th Quarter to remain unbeaten, and beating Caribou 56-49.

MDI was up by 1 point 14-13 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Derek Collin, Drew Shea and Eli Parady each scored 4 points for the Trojans while Andrew Phelps added 2 points. For Caribou Nick Allen had 6 points, Mason Patten had 5 points and Austin Findlan was 2-2 from the free throw line.

In the 2nd Quarter Caribou outscored MDI 12-6 to take a 25-20 lead at the end of the 1st Half. For Caribou Parker Deprey had 8 points and Alex Bouchard and Allen had 2 points each. For MDI Finn McConomy had 4 points and Shea had 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter MDI outscored Caribou 12-10 to cut Caribou's lead to 3 points at the end of the 3rd Quarter 35-32. For MDI Phelps had 5 points including a 3-pointer, McConomy had a 3-pointer, and Colby Lee and Owen Mild added 2 points each. For Caribou DePrey had a 3-pointer, Bouchard and Allen had 3 points each and Patten was 1-2 from the free throw line.

In the 4th Quarter MDI outscored Caribou 24-14 to take a 7 point lead, which was the biggest they had all night. McConomy had 7 points in the Quarter including 2 3-pointers. Drew Shea Had 6 points, Derek Collin had 5 points and Andrew Phelps and Colby Lee had 2 points each. MDI was 6-11 from the free throw line in the Quarter. For Carbou Allen had 7 points with a 3-pointer, Deprey had a 3-pointer and Findlen and Isaac Marker had 2 points each.

MDI was led by Finn McConomy with 14 points. Drew Shea had 12 points and Andrew Phelps and Derek Collin each had 9 points. MDI was 8-15 from the free throw line.

Caribou was led by Nick Allen with a game high 18 points, while Parker DePrey had 14 points. Caribou was 8-12 from the free throw line.

MDI is now undefeated at 5-0 and will play at Presque Isle on Thursday, December 28th at 2:30 PM in a game that will be heard on AM 1370 WDEA, WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
