MDI Boy’s Comeback Comes up Short – Fall to Hermon 41-38 [STATS]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team dug themselves too much of a hole, and despite outscoring Hermon 17-7 in the 4th Quarter, fell to the Hermon Hawks 41-38 in Bar Harbor on Wednesday, January 17th.

Hermon led 11-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 24-16 at the end of the 1st Half. The Hawks led 34-21 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Jameson Weir with 21 points, with 12 of those coming in the 4th Quarter. Spence Laurendeau had 7 points. James Witham had MDI's lone 3-pointer. The Trojans were 5-8 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Mason Kinney with 14 points. Brody Hurd had 8 points. The Hawks had 5 3-pointers, with Mason Kinney draining 4 4-pointers and Connor Kelley the other. Hermon was 12-18 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 5-5. They will travel to Old Town to play the Coyotes on Thursday, January 18th with the game tipping off at 7 p.m. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, with the pregame starting at 6:40 p.m

Hermon is 6-5. They will host the Caribou Vikings on Saturday, January 20th at 4:30 p.m.
