MDI Boys Beat Houlton 70-50 [STATS]

The MDI Boys Basketball Team beat Houlton 70-50 up in Houlton on Friday afternoon, December 27th.

MDI jumped out to a 24-16 lead in the 1st Quarter, as James Witham scored 14 points for MDI. Isaiah Ervin scored 11 of Houlton's 16 points. MDI led 37-24 at the end of the 1st Half, and 54-40 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

The Trojans were led by James Witham with a game-high 24 points, with 2 3-pointers. Dylan Stoll had 13 points with 2 3's. Lincoln Gray had 12 points with 2 3's and Janrron Biekert had 10 points. MDI was 6-9 from the free throw line.

Houlton was led by Isaiah Ervin with 20 points and 1 3-pointer. Thadon Gentle had 16 points with 3 3-pointers. Brandon Barton had 3 3's. The Shiretowners were 11-25 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 2-3. They will travel to Bucksport to play the Golden Bucks on Monday afternoon, December 30th at 2:30. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370 with the pregame starting at 2:15 p.m. The game will also be broadcast on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.

Houlton is now 2-5. They will travel to Bucksport to play the Golden Bucks on Saturday, January 4th at 1:30 p.m.
