MDI Boys Beat Foxcroft Academy 49-44 [STATS/PHOTOS]

The MDI Boy's Basketball Team beat Foxcroft Academy 49-44 on Tuesday, January 28th at Bernard Parady Gymnasium in Bar Harbor.

The Ponies led 12-8 at the end of the 1st Quarter and the game was tied at 22-22 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 34-28 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Dylan Stoll and Cal Hodgdon each of whom had 9 points. James Witham had 8 points, including 2 3-pointers. Jarron Biekert had 8 points. Hodgdon and Preston Tripp each had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were11-15 from the free throw line.

The Ponies were led by Silas Toploski with 17 points and Lennon McAfee with 15 points, including 3 3-pointers. Lucas Hands had 10 points with 2 3-pointers. The Ponies were 5-7 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 9-7 with 2 games remaining. They will host Washington Academy on Thursday, January 30h at 7 p.m. on Senior Recognition Night. Then they will play at Ellsworth on Wednesday, February 5th at 7 p.m. to close out the regular season. Both games will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device

Foxcroft Academy is now 6-8 with 4 games remaining in the regular season. They will host Central on Friday, January 31st at 7 p.m., host Presque Isle on Saturday, February 1st at 4:30 p.m. and host Orono on Monday, February 3rd at 7 p.m. They close out the regular season at John Bapst on Wednesday, February 6th at 7 p.m.
