MDI Boys Beat Bucksport 68-30 [STATS]

The MDI Boys Basketball Team beat Bucksport 68-30 in Bucksport on Monday, December 30th.

The duo of Dylan Stoll and Preston Tripp held Bucksport's leading scorer, Collin MacDougal to just 5 points. Meanwhile Jarren Biekert was a beast on the boards for the Trojans, limited Bucksport's rebounds.

MDI led 17-5 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 37-11 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans were up 54-24 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI drained 10 3-pointers in the game.

MDI was led by James Witham with 18 points, and 3 3-pointers. Dylan Stoll had 11 points with 3 3-pointers. Preston Tripp had 11 points with 2 3-pointers. Mason LaPointe, Cal Hodgdon and Lincoln Gray each had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 8-12 from the free throw line.

Bucksport was led by Jack Morrison with 15 points. Trent Goss finished with 8 points. The Golden Bucks ere 4-11 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 3-3 and will host the Ellsworth Eagles on Friday, January 3rd at 7 p.m. That  game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA , on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, with the pregame starting at 6:40 p.m.

Bucksport is now 1-5. They will host Houlton on Saturday, January 4th at 1:30 p.m.
