MDI Boys Basketball Triumphs Over Old Town 82-50 In Bar Harbor

The MID Boys Basketball Team raced out to a 25-13 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back, beating the Old Town Coyotes 82-50 on Thursday night, January 22nd in Bar Harbor.

In the 1st Quarter Kenneth Stillwell had 9 points for the Trojans while Dylan Stoll had 8 points, going 6-8 from the free throw line. Brooks Vose had 9 of the Coyotes 13 points, with 2 3's.

In the 2nd Quarter MDI increased their lead, outscoring Old Town 19-14 to lead 44-27 at the end of the 1st Half. MDI led by 20, 62-42 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by James Witham with 22 points, including a 3-pointer. Witham now has 972 points, and is 28 points away from the 1000 point mark.

Dylan Stoll had 19 points, including a 3-pointer, before fouling out. Kenneth Stillwell had 18 points with a 3-pointer. Coe Thurston and Sylas Witham each had a 3-pointer. The Trojans were 13-18 from the free throw line.

Old Town was led by Brooks Vose with 16 points, including 4 3-pointers. Jack DeGrasse, Alexander Bear and Ian Whitmore each had a 3-pointer. The Coyotes were 7-16 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 13-1 and in 4th place in the Class B North Boys Heal Point Standings. They will host Presque Isle on Saturday, January 24th at 3:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 3:10 p.m.

Old Town is now 1-13. They are in 13th in the Class B North Boys Heal Point Standings. They will host Caribou on Saturday, January 24th.
