MDI Baseball Shuts Out Washington Academy 8-0

The MDI Trojans Baseball Team shut out Washington Academy 8-0 in East Machias on Saturday, May 11th.

Quentin Pileggi was on the mound for the Trojans and held the Raiders to just 3 hits, striking out 4. He didn't walk a batter.

MDI had 7 hits, with Porter Isaacs leading the hitting attack, going 3-4. Logan Beckwith, Drew Shea, Nick Corson, and Jack DaCorte each had a single.

MDI scored 1 run in the top of the 1st and added 3 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings before pushing across the final run in the 5th inning.

Cecil Gray had 2 singles for Washington Academy and Lukas McDonald had the Raiders other hit.

MDI is now 5-4 and will play at Ellsworth on Monday, May 13th at 4:30

Washington Academy is 4-4 and hosts Hermon on Tuesday, May 14th
