The MDI Baseball Team was shutout in Belfast Wednesday afternoon, May 16th, losing to the Lions 4-0.

Matt Perconti was the hard luck losing pitcher for the Trojans, as he scattered 5 hits, allowing 4 runs, none of which were earned. He struck out 8 and walked 1.

The Lions scored all their runs in the bottom of the 5th inning.

Dakota Payson and Grey Dinsmore each had a double for Belfast. Sky Perkins, Luke Hamlin and Jason Bartlett each had a single.

Grey Dinsmore was the winning pitcher for the Lions. He allowed just 2 hits and struck out 7 and walked 2. Sky Perkins had a stolen base.

Alden Fournier had MDI's 2 singles. Erik Merchant had a stolen base.

MDI is now 7-4 and plays at GSA on Thursday, May 17th at 4:30PM.

Belfast is 6-5 and plays at Medomak Valley on Friday, May 18th at 4 PM.
