MDI Baseball Shut Out By Old Town 9-0

The MDI Trojans committed 5 errors in the field on Wednesday, May 8th, leading to 7 unearned runs, and fell to the Old Town Coyotes 9-0 in Old Town.,

Both MDI and Old Town banged out 9 hits, but the Trojans weren't able to put a run across the plate.

For MDI Nick Corson and Porter Isaacs each had 2 singles.  Jack DaCorte, Sam Keblinsky, Brady Renault, Kyle Nicholson and Erik Merchant each had a siingle.

Porter Isaacs started for MDI going 4.0 innings allowing 8 hits. He struck out 4 and didn't walk a batter. Quentin Pileggi pitched 2 innings of relief allowing 1 hit, 1 run and struck out 1.

For Old Town, Nate Young had 2 doubles. Brenden Gasaway had 2 hits, 1 of which was a double. Tyler McCannel had 2 singles. Chris Albert, Tanner Evans and Michael Brown each had a single

On the mound Tanner Evans threw 6.0 innings allowing 8 hits and striking out 3.  Gabe Talon threw the 7th inning allowing 1 hit.

MDI is now 3-4 and plays host to Foxcroft Academy on Thursday, May 9th at 4:30

Old Town is 4-3 and the Coyotes are scheduled to play host to John Bapst on Friday, May 10th
