MDI Baseball Doubles Up Foxcroft Academy 8-4

The MDI Trojans Baseball Team doubled up Foxcroft Academy 8-4 on Thursday, May 9th in Bar Harbor.

The Trojans banged out 11 hits. Sam Keblinsky had 3 hits. Logan Beckwith had 3 hits including a double. Kyle Nicholson had a double. Drew Shea, Nick Corson., Quentin Pileggi and Brady Renault each had a single. Piliggi swiped 2 bases and Erik Merchant stole 1 base.

Sam Mitchell pitched the first 3 innings for MDI allowing 5 hits, and 4 runs, although just 1 of them was earned. He struck out 3 and walked 2. Sam Keblinsky picked up the win in relief, going 4 innings allowing 1 hit and striking out 4. He didn't walk a batter.

Logan Martin had 2 hits for Foxcroft Academy including a double. Ethan Curtis had 2 singles and Jeremy Richard and Luke Stedman each had a single.

Luke Stedman started on the mound for the Ponies, throwing 3 innings and gave up 11 hits. He struck out 2 and walked 1. 7 of the 8 runs he allowed were earned. Logan Martin pitched the final 3 innings striking out 2 and walking 1. He didn't allow a hit.

MDI evened up their record at 4-4. They will play at Washington Academy on Saturday, May 11th at 12 Noon.

Foxcroft Academy is 3-4 and will play at Nokomis on Friday, May 10th at 4PM.
