MDI Baseball Defeats Searsport 8-4 Monday in Exhibition Game [PHOTOS]

The MDI Trojans Baseball Team defeated Searsport 8-4 Monday afternoon, April 11th in Bar Harbor in an exhibition game

Jay Haney started the game for MDI and went 2.1 innings. He struck out 3 and walked 3, allowing 1 hit and 1 unearned run.

AJ Lozano came on in relief, pitching 3.2 innings. He allowed 3 unearned runs, striking out 5 and walking 4. He gave up 2 hits.

Logan Blanchette pitched the final inning. He didn't allow a hit and struck out 1 while walking 2.

MDI had 5 hits in the game. Nick Jacobs was 2-3 with a double. AJ Lozano, Quentin Pileggi and Aidan Grant all had a single.

The Trojans had 8 stolen bases. AJ Lozano swiped 4 bases with Nick Jacobs, Quentin Pileggi, Sam Sinclair and Aidan Grant each stealing a bag.

For Searsport Josh Wright started on the mound and went 3 innings, allowing 3 runs, 1 of which was earned. He struck out 5 and walked 1 allowing 1 hit.

Gage Ellis came on in relief throwing 2 innings, allowing 3 runs, 2 of which were earnd. he struck out 2 and walked 1, giving up 3 hits.

Nate Ashey pitched the 6th inning, allowing 1 run and 1 hit. He struck out 2 and walked 2.

Ashey, Ellis and Brady Clements each had a hit for the Vikings. Ashey swiped 2 bases. Sam Cahill, Cole Ellis and C. Law each had a stolen base.

MDI is scheduled to play an exhibition game at Hampden Academy on Wednesday, April 13th at 4:15 p.m.
