MDI Baseball Defeats Ellsworth 4-1 [PHOTOS]

The MDI Trojan Baseball Team defeated the Ellsworth Eagles 4-1 on a beautiful sunny afternoon, Thursday, May 13th in Ellsworth.

MDI jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning, and added 2 runs in the 5th and an insurance run in the 6th. Ellsworth scored their lone run in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Quenten Pileggi pitched a great game for MDI, scattering 7 hits and striking out 9 while just walking 1 for the win.

Craig Burnett was the tough luck losing pitcher for Ellsworth, throwing 6 innings, allowing 7 hits, and 4 runs, although 2 were unearned. He struck out 9 and walked 1. Miles Palmer pitched the 7th inning for the Eagles.
