MDI and Hermon Boy’s Soccer Play to 1-1 Draw

The MDI and Hermon Boy's Soccer Teams opened their 2024 seasons at Alumni Field in Bar Harbor, playing to a 1-1 draw after double overtime.

Varsity: MDI 1, Hermon 1 (2OT)
Hermon goal scored off a free kick with 1:59 elapsed in the first half. MDI scored with 6:21 remaining in the second half on a goal by Berkley Grant, assisted by Sebastian Cullen.

JV: MDI 1, Hermon 0
Henri Hansen scored in the final minute of the second half to secure the win.

MDI is now 0-0-1. They will play host to Caribou on Saturday, September 7th at 2 p.m.

Hermon now 0-0-1 will play host to Ellsworth on Tuesday, September 10th at 6 p.m.

Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, September 8th, with voting taking place September  9th-12th with the winner of Week 1 being announced on September 13th.
