
Masks Required in All Bar Harbor Municipal Buildings Effective Monday October 17
Effective Monday, October 17th masks must be worn inside all Bar Harbor Municipal Buildings because of the fact that Hancock County has been deemed as "High" for community transmission of COVID.
The CDC releases updated COVID transmission rates for each county every Thursday evening.
Based upon the "High" level the CDC advises to wear a mask indoors in public and on public transportation. Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines. Get tested if you have symptoms. If you are at high risk for severe illness, consider taking additional precautions.
MDI Hospital will be offering a COVID-19 vaccination booster clinic on Tuesday, October 25 from 9 am-12 pm at the MDI YMCA on Park Street in Bar Harbor.
This clinic will offer both Moderna and Pfizer bivalent booster vaccines. The bivalent booster is the vaccine that targets the Omnicron COVID variant.
The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for people ages 12 years old and older, The Moderna vaccine has been approved for people 18 years old and older.
