Good news for those who need to travel between Tremont and Southwest Harbor! The Marsh Bridge, which has been closed for 2 months, is set to reopen by the end of the day, on Saturday, November 16th.

Paul Merrill, the spokesperson for the Maine Department of Transportation confirmed that the current plan to have the bridge reopened by the end of the day on Saturday, November 16th is still feasible.

During the closure, vehicles vehicles have been detoured onto Route 102A/Seawall, adding about 15-20 minutes to the commute.

CPM Constructors have been working on the bridge under a contract awarded by the Maine Department of Transportation.
