Maine National Guard Flyover To Salute Frontline Workers [UPDATE]

We have to admit it, we got a little emotional this past Wednesday, National Nurses Day, while watching video of F-15 fighter jets from the Massachusetts National Guard fly over the city of Boston, saluting essential healthcare workers there.

Now, it's going to happen here in Maine as well.

"Operation American Resolve, saluting Maine's front-line workers" will take place this Tuesday, May 12th during the mid-day hours.

A KC-135 aircraft from the 101st Air Refueling Wing in Bangor will "conduct" the flyover, which will stretch from the town of Farmington to Downeast and then to Bangor.  The original schedule includes northern Maine points, but was changed Tuesday morning because of the weather.
