Maine Gov. Paul LePage’s ‘Vaseline’ Comment Raises Eyebrows

Maine Gov. Paul LePage's seemingly off-color comments about a Democratic lawmaker are making waves in the State House, according to a report from WABI-TV. 

"Sen. [Troy] Jackson claims to be for the people, but he's the first one to give it to the people without providing Vaseline," LePage reportedly said on Thursday morning when asked about the Aroostook County lawmaker's response to the his budget plan.

LePage then reportedly added, "He is bad. He has no brains, and he has a black heart."

It's not the first time the outspoken Maine governor has raised eyebrows with his self-described "street talk."

In 2010, he said he'd tell President Obama to "go to hell." He also once said he'd like to punch a reporter from Maine Public Broadcasting. In 2011, LePage dismissed the dangers of the chemical BPA by saying, "the worst case is some women may have little beards.”
