Addi Laslie scored a hat trick on Wednesday afternoon, as the Ellsworth Girls Soccer Team won their opening game of the season, with a 6-1 win over the GSA Eagles in the Battle of Eagles , in Blue Hill

With 6:10 elapsed Ellsworth scored 1st. Paige Sawyer took a direct kick and Laslie scored.

With 21:15 left in the 1st Half, Ellsworth made it 2-0 when Laslie scored again, assisted by Tori Watkins.

It was 3-0 with 12:14 remaining in the 1st Half, when Miah Coffin scored her 1st varsity goal, assisted by Morgan Clifford.

The 1st Half ended with the score 3-0

With just 2:33 gone in the 2nd Half, Laslie scored her 3rd goal, for the hat trick, with an assist to Abby Bland.

With 25:21 left Tori Watkins scored off of a cross by Megan Jordan.

The final Ellsworth goal came with 23:28 remaining, when Addi Laslie served a corner kick to Paige Sawyer who headed the ball into the net.

GSA's goal came with 16:42 remaining in the game to ruin Ellsworth's shutout.

Ellsworth is back on the field, Saturday, September 11th when they play host to Foxcroft Academy at Del Luce Stadium at 1 p.m.
