Lamoine SkillsUSA Team Makes History – Needs Help to Get to Nationals
The Lamoine Consolidated School's SkillsUSA Team made Maine State history, becoming the 1st Middle School group to qualify to compete at the National SkillsUSA Competition!
Ian Frost, a 7th grader, Jordan Chan a 6th grader and Benny Baldridge a 5th grader, combined to form a team, that competed in the Team Engineering Challenge. They had to complete a written exam and solve a problem. This year's problem was to build a catapult and launch a "Dot" candy 4 feet.
They need to raise $8000 to send the 3 of them, Miranda Engstrom their advisor and chaperones to Atlanta for the Nationals June 18-23, and to cover all the expenses.
They have set up a GoFundMe Page
