Sparks of Home – Fighting Pediatric Cancer One Firework At a Time – July 12
Losing a child is heartbreaking. David Gartner and is wife, Melanie lost their daughter Journey to cancer is July of 2023. From that heartbreak they have formed the Journey Rose Foundation to help families who have children battling cancer.
They are holding a fundraiser this Saturday, July 12th at the Lamoine Consolidated School, culminating with a professional fireworks show. All funds raised will be going to the Northern Light Pediatric Cancer Center in Brewer.
The event begins at 4:30 p.m. Admission is by donation.
There will be a barbecue with hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, popcorn, cotton candy and drinks for sale. There will be a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and music. . For the children there will be a bounce house, water slide and dunk tank.
The professional fire works display will be shot off shortly after 9:15 p.m.
