January 29 – Big Day for Megan Phelps and Trinity Montigny

Thanks to my Facebook memories, I learned that former MDI Trojan Megan Phelps and former Ellsworth Eagle Trinity Montigny have something in common!

• Both are role models for young girls in Downeast Maine.
• Both were multi-sport athletes
• Both went on to play Division 3 Basketball; Megan at Bowdoin and Trinity at Husson University

And, both scored their 1000th point on January 29th! Megan scored her 1000th point on January 29, 2011 in Presque Isle.

Trinity scored her 1000th point on January 29, 2020 at home against Foxcroft Academy!
