You don't need to read this article to know that we're fortunate enough to live in one of the greatest places in the country. Because if you live here or even if you visit every year, you already know that.

Maine Sights

There's literally something for everyone in Maine, no matter the season. Plenty of beaches and lakes to get sun-kissed at during the summer, endless leaf peeping spots during the fall, no shortage of slopes to ski, board, and tube down during winter, and plenty of trails to hike when warmer weather starts returning during the spring.

But, in that regard, just because we know we live in an amazing area, doesn't mean that we experience all it has to offer. We live here -- it's always going to be here, so "we'll get to it" -- right?

Maine Tourism

It's not that we mean to not take in all of Maine's amazingness (A-Maine-zingness? Someone slap me for making that horrible Dad joke, please) -- we just always take it for granted because it's always just a quick drive away, right?

It's along the same lines of someone living in Brunswick for years and never having tried Fat Boy Drive-In, or someone living in Downtown Portland and never gotten a lobster roll at The Highroller Lobster Co.

It just unintentionally happens. So, consider this your sign to start breaking the habit of taking the area for granted and get out there to experience some sights and areas you've always had intentions to, but haven't yet.

Even well-intentioned Mainers sometimes take Maine for granted and haven't experienced some of these because they'll 'get around to it.'
