How Did the Crash Happen?

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash determined that the vehicle was traveling south, with Goncalves-Radding at the wheel, when it left the roadway and struck a tree. The vehicle then caught fire. Officials eventually confirmed that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash and the case was submitted to the Hancock County District Attorney's Office for review.

What Charges Does the Driver Face?

As a result of that investigation, Goncalves-Radding has been indicted on four counts of manslaughter, five counts of aggravated operating under the influence, two counts of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, three counts of driving to endanger, one count each of criminal speed, forgery, and unlawful use of a license.

Our condolences to the victims' families and the Maine Maritime community.
