The identity of a man whose body was recovered from Toddy Pond in Orland has been released.

When Was the Incident Reported?

The Orland Fire Department was dispatched just before 1:00 Thursday afternoon for a report of a missing swimmer. The person was last seen at the Toddy Dam Bridge, so that's where crews began their search.

Where Was the Person Found?

Officials say the person was located near the dam and the scene was turned over to the Hancock County Sheriff's Office.

What Do We Know About the Deceased?

According to WABI-TV, the deceased has been identified as Theodore Harris from Toddy Pond. Officials believe he may have suffered a medical emergency that led to his drowning.
