Island Connections’ 1st Annual Sugar Showdown a Sweet Success [PHOTOS]

Island Connections' 1st Annual Sugar Showdown held Saturday evening, February 10th at the Atlantic Oceanside in Bar Harbor was a resounding success!

Organizers were hoping for 150 attendees, and over 300 persons showed up to taste the creations of 32 bakers. The bakers were divided into 3 categories; Whoopie Pie, Sweet Surprise and Showstopper.

The Top 3 in each Category, as voted by those in attendance, then were judged by 3 judges with the winners being

All proceeds benefited Island Connections, an organization devoted to providing rides to seniors and disabled on Mount Desert Island.
