In Battle of Eagles GSA Beats EHS 60-38 [STATS/RECAP]

In the Battle of the Eagles on Friday, December 15th the George Stevens Academy Boys Basketball Team beat Ellsworth 60-38 in Blue Hill. GSA jumped out to a 19-8 lead in the 1st Quarter and never looked back.

Ellsworth was led by Zach Harris and Jackson Curtis, with 12 points each. Ellsworth was 10-12 from the free point line but were 4-22 from beyond the 3 point arc. Harris had 2 3-pointers and Sam Giffin and Jackson Curtis each had 1 3-pointer. Darby Barry scored his first varsity points for Ellsworth

GSA was led by Taylor Schildroth with 20 points and Max Mattson had a double-double with 10 points and 17 rebounds. GSA was 7-12 from the free throw line and hit 7 3-pointers. Caden Mattson, and Reece Dannenberg each had 2 3-pointers with Isaac Wardwell, Schildroth, and Andrew Swez each having 1.

Ellsworth is now 1-1 and they will play host to Belfast on Friday December 22nd at 7 PM

GSA is now 2-1 and play at Bucksport on Tuesday, December 19th at 6:30 PM
