How to Listen/Watch the MDI Girls and Ellsworth Boys Semifinal Games on Wednesday

After the morning session on Wednesday, with the last of the Class C Quarterfinals, the focus at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor will turn to the semifinals, with Class B taking the stage this afternoon and evening. The Class B Semifinal Schedule is

• 2 p.m. - #3 MDI Girls (16-4) vs. #2 Hermon (17-2)
• 3:30 p.m. - #4 Presque Isle Girls (14-6) vs. #1 Old Town (19-1)
• 7 p.m. - #10 John Bapst Boys (10-10) vs #2 Orono (17-3)
• 8:30 p.m. - #4 Old Town Boys (14-6) vs. #1 Ellsworth (20-0)

The MDI and Ellsworth Games will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device, with the pregames starting at 1:45 p.m.(MDI Girls) and 8:15 p.m. (Ellsworth Boys).

All 4 of the semifinals will be live-streamed by WHOU (subscription required)

The winners of the 4 semifinals will play on Championship Saturday, February 26th with the Girls tipping off at 2 p.m. and the Boys tipping off at 3:45 p.m.

The MDI Girls and Hermon have met twice during the regular season, splitting the series. Hermon won at home 43-26 on December 30th with MDI winning at home 44-35 on January 25. Hermon's 2 losses have come to MDI and Old Town.

The Presque Isle Girls and Old Town have met twice during the regular season. Old Town won both games, winning in Presque Isle 48-25 on December 14th and then winning in Old Town 56-47 on January 15th.

The John Bapst and Orono Boys met twice during the regular season, splitting the series, playing both games within 9 days. Orono won the 1st game in Orono 50-43 on January 17th, while John Bapst won the 2nd game at home 55-50 on January 26th

Ellsworth and Old Town met just once in the regular season, with Ellsworth winning at home 71-49 on December 28th.
