If you are lucky enough to have Lisa Hayes as your UPS driver on the Backside of the Island you are extremely lucky! She treats her customers as family and is always looking out for them.

She offered this advice as UPS is delivering truckloads and truckloads of holiday gifts.

"Ho ho ho to the season! We are gearing up for a busy season. In the past couple of weeks, I have noticed places where it is so dark. It’s so dark like being in a pocket and trying to find a way out.! I’m asking you to please leave the light on. If it says that it is out for delivery, then it is. It’s getting darker sooner which really throw things off. Our day does not end until our truck is empty, which could result in delivery after dark. Most of my customers go to bed early because they rise early to start their day much before anyone is thinking about getting up."
Here’s a few things that Lisa suggested
  • If you are going to order something that requires a signature, please have it delivered to a business because that’s the easiest place to ensure delivery.
  • Also please leave some kind of light on for me I would greatly appreciate it . I know that often times at this time of year you may be crawled up in your bed when I come to deliver! , It's not fun walking up a driveway in the pitch dark, stepping into a rut which turns out to be a puddle.
  • If your dog poops in the driveway, please pick it up! No one wants to step in it at any time of the day, but especially when it's pitch black out!
