Hermon Tops MDI 46-35 [Box Score/Recap]

The Hermon Hawks topped MDI 46-35 at Hermon High School on Saturday, January 20th to remain undefeated in Class B North. The two teams will meet on Tuesday, January 30th in Bar Harbor.

Hermon took a 13-9 lead at the end of the 1st Quarter. Jacob Godfrey and Jordan Bishop had 4 points each for Hermon while Keenan Marseille had a 3-pointer and Garrett Trask had 2 points. For MDI Derek Collin had 4 points, Finn McConomy a 3-pointe and Owen Mild 2 points.

Hermon led 23-22 at the end of the 1st Half as MDI out scored Hermon 13-10 in the 2nd Quarter. Andrew Phelps drained 2 3-pointers for MDI, Derek Collin had 4 points and Eli Parady 3 points for MDI. For Hermon Godfrey had 6 points, Marseille 3 points and Cody Hawes was 1-2 from the free throw line.

Hermon took a 34-30 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Isaac Varney had 4 points, Trask went 3-4 from the free throw line, and Marseille and Bishop had 2 points each for the Hawks. For MDI Phelps, Collin, Shea and Mild each had 2 points.

In the 4th Quarter Garrett Trask drained 2 3-pointers for Hermon,and Varney had 6 points. For MDI Parady and Phelps had 2 points and McConomy went 1-2 from the free throw line.

MDI was led by Andrew Phelps and Derek Collin with 10 points each. The Trojans were 4-12 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Garrett Trask with 11 points and Jacob Godfrey and Isaac Varney had 10 points each. The Hawks were 7-10 from the free throw line.

MDI now 8-2 plays at the Cross Insurance Center on Monday, January 22nd against the John Bapst Crusaders with the tip-off at 6 PM. The game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the pregame starting at 5:45 PM.
