Ellsworth Boys Fall to Hermon Hawks 51-45 [STATS]

The Hermon Hawks outscored Ellsworth 19-8 in the 4th Quarter to overcome a 5-point 3rd Quarter deficit and beat Ellsworth 51-45 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium on Wednesday, January 21st.

Hermon led 13-10 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 28-24 at the end of the 1st Half. Ellsworth outscored Hermon 13-4 in the 3rd Quarter to take a 37-32 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Ellsworth was led by Jackson Barry who had 17 points including a 3-pointer. Bryce Hart had 11 points with a 3-pointer. Ellsworth, a normally good 3-point shooting team had only 2 3's. The Eagles were 5-10 from the free throw line.

Hermon was led by Carter Wiggin with 21 points. Brody Hurd had 18 points with 3 3's. Mason Kinney had a pair of 3-pointers. The Hawks were 6-14 from the free throw line.

Hermon is now 12-2 and in 1st place in the Class B Boy's Heal Point Standings. They will play host to Lawrence on Saturday, January 24th.

Ellsworth is now 10-4 and in 5th place int he Class B Boy's Heal Point Standings. They will play host to Belfast on Friday, January 23 with the game tipping off at 7:30 p.m. That game will be broadcast on WDEA  AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our FREE downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.
