I love to read. A good book can transport you back in time, to another country, immerse you in a love story or a murder-mystery. You know it's a great book if you just can't stand to put it down and want to read another chapter! Children who learn to love books have a life-long hobby ahead of them!

That's why I want to bring this important fundraiser to your attention! Two years ago the Hancock Grammar School had a pipe burst in the ceiling of the library, causing a major flood.

Many of the books were destroyed, and the insurance money didn't replace all the books that were destroyed.

That's why Mrs. Corson is reaching out to the community to help replace the books. As of Thursday, January 16th they need just $428.00 to reach her goal. If you would like to donate, you can do so HERE! There is a deadline of May 10th through the website, but I am confident that knowing the Downeast Maine community, that you can make this happen quickly!

Kudos to Aubrey Corson for advocating for her school, and students. She is in her 1st year as Librarian, and has been at Hancock Grammar School since 2021 as an Ed Tech.
