HCTC Early Childhood Education Students Holding Fundraiser for Parents with Children in the NICU
Hancock County Technical Center's Early Childhood Education Students are holding a fundraiser for parents with children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Northern Light Hospital in Bangor.
Having a child in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is scary! I can speak from experience as our older son Craig was born 10 weeks early weigh just 4 pounds 10 ounces. We had gone through just 1 lamaze class when Craig was born and rushed to the NICU. He ended up staying in there for 3-4 weeks, but nothing can prepare you for that experience.
The NICU nurses and doctors are saints. And there is the Ronald McDonald House for those parents who have children at Northern Light Hospital and need to stay overnight.
Here is the list of items being collected. All items must be dropped off at Hancock County Technical Center by Friday, February 7th.
- Travel Size Toiletries
- Snacks (Crackers, chips, cookies)
- Premie Clothing
- Baby Blankets
- Gift Cards to Local Restaurants
- Gas Cards
- Monetary Gifts will be accepted and used to purchase the items above.
