Happy 197th Birthday Maine!

Today, March 15th, marks the 197th Anniversary of Maine becoming a State!

Maine was admitted, on March 15th 1820,  as part of the Missouri Compromise, to keep the balance between “free” and “slave” states. It was admitted, to offset the admittance of Missouri into the Union.

So Happy Anniversary Maine, can’t wait to celebrate the bicentennial on March 15, 2020!
