Hancock Woman’s Club Has Scholarships Available for Hancock County Students
Post-secondary education is expensive. That's why when we come across an organization like the Hancock Women's Club, we want to let you know about their scholarship opportunities!
These scholarships are available for residents of the Town of Hancock or Hancock County residents. Applicants should be High School Seniors, recent High School graduates, or adults returning to or continuing with many programs (see below)
Two awards of $2500 are available with preference for Nursing or related Medical Field. Applicants must be involved in community service or volunteering locally.
Up to 5 awards for up to $1500 each are earmarked for applicants who are either high school seniors or adults a year or more out of high school and returning to study. The number and amount of the awards will depend on the quality and quantity of applicants received. Funds awarded may be used for any necessary expenses incurred in professional degree programs, technical certification programs, colleges and community colleges. Previous recipients and previous applicants may reapply. Awarded funds will be released at the time of documented enrollment in an accredited degree or certification program.
For additional information and application forms for these scholarships, please visit HERE. They may also be found at the Hancock Town Office, or in any Hancock County High School or HCTC's guidance counselor's office.
The deadline for application is April 15th and no late applications will be accepted.
Myrna Coffin, the Scholarship Committee Chair said "The Club has long supported the continuing education of local young people. We feel strongly about helping to reduce the financial burden on students who reach for post-secondary degrees and certificate programs"
