Hancock County JV Basketball Finals Tonight, March 4th

The Ellsworth High School You Tube Channel is the place to be tonight, as MDI and Ellsworth will be battling for the Hancock County JV Basketball Championships.

First up will be the JV Girls contest. The MDI JV Girls advanced beating Sumner 22-18 while the Ellsworth JV Girls had a bye, having the best record among Sumner, MDI and Ellsworth. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.

At 7 p.m. it will be the JV Boys Basketball Championship. Yesterday, at Bernard Parady Gymnasium at MDI High School the Ellsworth JV team advanced to the final with a 51-40 victory over the MDI JV White Team. In the other semi-final, the MDI JV Green Team defeated the Ellsworth JV2 Team 35-24 to set up the championship game between the MDI JV Green Team and Ellsworth JV Team

Although not on the radio, both games will be live-streamed on the Ellsworth High School You Tube Channel, and WDEA's Chris Popper will provide play-by-play. Best of luck to both the Ellsworth and MDI Teams and congratulations to all on a great season. Well done keeping it safe!
