Hampden Broncos Use Strong 4th Quarter to Beat MDI Boys 41-35 [STATS]

The MDI Boys Basketball Team was leading 32-21 at the end of the 3rd Quarter on Monday, February 1st but the Hampden Broncos outscored the Trojans 20-3 in the 4th Quarter to beat MDI 41-35 in Hampden.

Hampden led 11-9 in the 1st Quarter. TJ Henaghen had 9 points for the Broncos while Brandon Butterfield had 2 points. For MDI, Brady Renault had 5 points with a 3-pointer while Maddox Laurendeau and Grady Wellman-Webster each had 2 points.

In the 2nd Quarter MDI outscored Hampden Academy 13-7 to take a 22-18 lead at the end of the 1st Half. For MDI Renault had 5 points with his 2nd 3-pointer, Wellman-Webster and Ethan Merchant each had 4 points. For the Broncos Aiden Kristal had a 3-pointdr, Henaghen was 2-3 from the free throw line and Landon Gabric had 2 points.

In the 3rd Quarter MDI outscored Hampden Academy 10-3 to take a 32-21 lead at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Merchant and Renault each had 3-pointers while Henry Lester and Charlie Parker each chipped in 2 points. For the Broncos JJ Wolfington had 2 points and Gabric was 1-2 from the free throw lines.

The 4th Quarter belonged to the Broncos. Gabric had 6 points and Heaghen had 5 points. Brandon Butterfield had 4 points with a 3-pointer, Travis Czapiga had 3 points and Zachary McLaughlin had 2 point. For MDI Spencer Laurendeau had their 3 points.

MDI was led by Brady Renault with 13 points while Ethan Merchant had 7 points. The Trojans were 1-4 from the free throw line

Hampden Academy was led by TJ Henaghen had a game high 16 points while Brandon Butterfield had 6 points. The Broncos were 10-16 from the free throw line.
