GSA Volleyball Team Triumphs Over Bucksport In Four Sets

The GSA Volleyball Team beat Bucksport 3-1 on Monday, September 8th in Bucksport. The individual set scores were 25-18, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-10.

Individual GSA Stat Leaders were

Taylor Grego had 14 kills, 8 aces and 12 digs
Aurora Simmons had 9 aces and 5 kills 10 digs
Acadia Simmons had 24 assists

Bucksport always plays us tough, tonight was no different. Teams battled, around 15 we pulled away for good and took the set 25-16..Taylor Grego started the match red hot, getting 4 kills and 4 aces.
Set 2 saw a change, and Bucksport's serving really came alive, teams were tied 20-20 and Bucksport capitalized on missed back to back serves by us and finished the set 25-21.Taylor picked up 3 more aces. Taylor and Aurora Simmons lead the attack with 2 kills each.
Set 3 swung back to GSA shortly after the start, and we stayed out in front and didn't give up the lead taking this set 25-16. Acadia Simmons had a run of 6 serves in a row to seal it. Taylor delivered another 4 kills and 6 digs. The team picked up 16 digs in this set.
Set 4 saw Aurora Simmons strike over and over from the service line. Our 1st server of this set got us off to a 12-1 start. We rode out the last set to a 25-10 score and took the match 3-1.
