Ellsworth High School Volleyball Team Starts Season With Tough Loss

The Ellsworth High School Volleyball Team fell to Greely in straight sets by the score of 14-25, 16-25 and 23-25 to open the 2025 season at Greely on Friday, September 5th.

Individual Ellsworth Standouts

Sophie Harmon - 8 assists, 5 digs
Lauren Young - 3 kills, 2 assists and 8 digs
Sophie Beal - 1 ace, 4 kills, 2 blocks and 13 digs
Austyn Atherton - 1 ace, 8 kills and 8 digs
Caitlin Jenkins - 2 aces, 1 kill and 6 digs.

In the JV Game, Ellsworth beat Greely in straight sets with set scores of 25-16, 25-11 and 25-17.

Greely is now 1-0 and will play at Lake Region on Tuesday, September 9th at 6 p.m.

Ellsworth is 0-1 and will play at Gray-New Gloucester on Saturday, September 6th at 1:30 p.m.
