Golden Bucks Beat Blue Devils 59-40

The Bucksport Golden Bucks Boy's Basketball Team played host to Calais on Saturday, January 21st and came away with a 59-40 victory.

Bucksport led 14-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter. Tyson Gray had 6 points for Bucksport, Chase Carmichael had 5 points including a 3-pointer and Andy Allen had a 3-pointer for the Golden Bucks. For Calais Addison Coty had 6 points while Branden Gillespie, Jacob Hornbrook and Jon Socabasin chipped in with 2 points each.

Bucksport outscored Calais 12-2 in the 2nd Quarter to take a 26-14 lead at the half. Tyson Gray had 6 more points in the 2nd Quarter, Chase Carmichael had 4 points and Tanner Stegner had 2 points for the Golden Bucks. Calais' lone points came from Addison Coty who was 2-2 from the free throw line.

Bucksport led 47-31 at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Lucas Brann had 7 points for Bucksport, Tyson Gray had 6 points for the third consecutive quarter, and Tanner Stegner, Andy Allen, Dylan Wight and Jakob Donnell all chipped in with 2 points each for Bucksport. For Calais Blake Collins had 2 3-pointers for 6 points, Branden Gillespie and Addison Coty had 5 points and Jacob Hornbrook had 1 point for the Blue Devils.

In the 4th Quarter, Tyson Gray had 5 points for Bucksport, Andy Allen had 3 points and Tanner Stegner and Chase Carmichael each had 2 points. For Calais, Jacob Hornbrook had 5 points including a 3-pointer and Addison Coty had 4 points.

Bucksport was led by Tyson Gray with a game high 23 points while Chase Carmichael had 13 points. Bucksport was 9-13 from the free throw line.

Calais was led by Addison Coty with 17 points while Branden Gillespie had 7 points. Calais was 7-9 from the free throw line.

Bucksport is now 5-7 and play at Deer Isle Stonington on Monday, January 23rd at 7 PM.

Calais is 2-8 and will play host to Washington Academy on Tuesday, January 24th at 6:30 PM.
