George Zimmerman Injured in Florida Shooting
More trouble for the man who has become synonymous with it.
The man infamously acquitted in the death of Trayvon Martin was shot Monday after getting into what is believed to be a road rage incident in Lake Mary, Fla. It's believed that Zimmerman and the man who shot him have had prior run-ins.
According to WESH:
Zimmerman's attorney Don West said a bullet missed Zimmerman's head, but he was sprayed with glass from his vehicle's windshield and other debris.
Zimmerman, who had minor injuries, was able to walk himself to an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital and released.
One of the windows in his car had a bullet hole in it.
The man who shot Zimmerman approached a third man and told him to call 911, admitting that he had fired the gun.
Zimmerman is certainly no stranger to controversy or brushes with the law.
In addition to being acquitted in the Martin death back in 2013, he's also been accused of assault by his girlfriend, accused of threatening to kill a driver and arrested for domestic violence, although his girlfriend later took back her story.
