Friends in Action in Ellsworth Needs Volunteers

Do you have an hour or two a week to volunteer in the winter months? Friends in Action, a group that serves seniors as part of their mission, needs some volunteers, especially during the Winter months.

Based out of the Moore Community Center in Ellsworth, Friends in Action needs volunteers to drive seniors in Hancock County to appointments, grocery shopping and other necessary rides. as well as coffee hour/meal service helpers in the Senior Center at the Moore Community Center.

This is the time of year that Seniors are most at risk of social isolation and barriers to getting transportation, and Friends in Action is hoping to combat that with your help.
