Former MDI and EHS Students Playing Softball in College
Collegiate softball players are getting ready for the 2018 season. There is 1 former MDI player and 4 former Ellsworth players playing in college. Here's where they are.
Haley Littlefield - The former MDI Trojan is now a junior at Thomas College in Waterville and will be counted on to be one of the starting pitchers for the Terriers this season. The Terriers open the season March 10
Caitlin Bean - The former Ellsworth Eagle is now a sophomore at Husson University in Bangor. She appeared in 17 games as a freshman. The Eagles open their season on March 5th in Arizona against St. Benedict.
Kate Whitney - The former Ellsworth Eagle is now a sophomore at St. Joseph's College in Standish. She appeared in 9 games as a freshman. The Monks open their season in Kissimmee Floriday on March 4th against Bridgewater.
Leah Stevens and Callie Hammer - The former Ellsworth Eagle teammates are teammates at the University of Maine Farmington and are freshman. Stevens a centerfielder/utility player and Hammer is catching. The Beavers open their season in Florida against Endicott College on March 11th.
