The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper announced its 2023 pre-season NCAA Division III poll and Husson University baseball was picked 37th in the rankings while junior Jackson Curtis, graduate student Kobe Rogerson and junior Connor Wagstaff were named to the players to watch list.

The Eagles finished the 2022 season 25-17 under head coach Chris Morris, winning the North Atlantic Conference Championship and making a run in the NCAA regional. Husson was one of two teams from the State of Maine picked, ranking just ahead of the University of Southern Maine who was picked 38th and the only team from the NAC to make the list.

Husson returns the bulk of last seasons roster including Curtis who batted .305 with 43 hits, 36 runs scored, 12 doubles, seven home runs and a team-best 41 runs batted in.

Additionally, the Eagles welcome back Rogerson who has been a defensive staple for Husson up the middle over his time in the green and gold. One of the top defensive players in the region, Rogerson batted .329 last season with a team-best 46 hits, 30 runs scored, 13 doubles, two home runs and 18 RBI's while stealing 16-18 bases.

Wagstaff will make debut for the Eagles in 2023 after transferring from Southern New Hampshire University where he put together an impressive 2022 campaign. Posting a 3.09 ERA in 12 appearances with nine strikeouts and an opponent's batting average of .186.

Husson opens up its season in Florida on Mar. 3 when it battles Milwaukee School of Engineering.
