Former Bucksport Principal Named New HCTC Director

At the Tuesday, January 10th Ellsworth School Board meeting the School Board approved the hiring of Bill Tracy as the new Director of the Hancock County Technical Center.

Tracy replaces Amy Boles, who was the Director and who is now the Superintendent of Schools in Ellsworth.

Since 2017 Tracy has been the Principal at Hampden Academy in RSU 22. He was the Principal of Bucksport High School in RSU 25 from 2015 to 2017 and prior to that was the Principal of Mount View High School in RSU 3 from 2014-15.

His classroom teaching experience include Social Studies Teacher and Department Head at Bucksport High School from 2007-2014. He was an 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Bucksport Middle School from 2000 to 2007 and 7th Grade Teacher at the Ellsworth Middle School from 1999 to 2000.

He has been the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at Bucksport High and served on various Maine Principal committees.

Tracy will be transitioning from Hampden Academy to HCTC in the next 45 days
