Ellsworth’s Nelson and Jodrey Fall in Tennis Championships

Ellsworth's Norman Jodrey and Miriam Nelson fell on Friday, in the Maine Principals' Tennis Championships played at the Apex Racket and Fitness Club in Portland.

Jodrey lost in a 3rd set tiebreaker in the Round of 64 to Gabe Rand of Caribou 6-7 (3), 7-6 (5) and 0-1 (3)

Meanwhile Miriam Nelson got past the Round of 64 defeating Zoe Collins of South Portland 6-3 and 7-5 before falling to the 2nd seeded Elene Imnaishvili of Bangor 6-0 and 6-1.

Jodrey will lead the Ellsworth Boys Tennis Team in a prelim playoff match at Old Town on Tuesday, May 28th.

Nelson will lead the Ellsworth Girls Tennis Team in a Quartefinal match on Thursday, May 30th at home against the winner of the Washington Academy-Medomak Valley prelim match.
