Ellsworth’s Curts Runs Sub 4 Minute Mile

Former Ellsworth Eagle Dan Curts became the 7th Mainer in history according to running guru Gary Allen to run a sub 4 minute mile. He ran the mile in 3:59:29!

He joins fellow Mainers Riley Masters, Erik Nedeau, Ben True Matt Lane and Will Geoghegan in running the mile in under 4 minutes.

Curts ran this at the UW Last Chance College Elite Meet held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Washington-Dempsey Indoor Arena in Seattle.

According to Allen he also became the 7th fastest Mainer to run the 5000 running  13:38:18 . He is now behind Ben True, Bruce Bickord, Riley Masters, Will Geohegan, Louie Luchini and  Matt Lane
